Kimono is a soft, elegant color with a surprising twist. A bright, almost porcelain-like white forms the base, while speckles in jade green, moss, a touch of pink, and ocean blue are distributed over the yarn like strokes of dye. And as if that weren’t enough: this skein has a subtle sparkle ✨ – just like a kimono with a finely woven sheen or embroidered thread.
This color was part of the November yarn club with the theme Japan, and is now also available separately. Ideal for dreamy projects: think of a shimmering hat, a light scarf, or a festive detail in a larger piece.
🧶 Available on:
Sock with sparkle (75% mulesing-free merino / 20% nylon / 5% stellina – 400 meters per 100g)
DK with sparkle (75% mulesing-free merino / 20% nylon / 5% stellina – 225 meters per 100g)
🎎 Inspiration: The colors are based on traditional silk kimonos, in which white and green often symbolize the tranquility of nature, and the sparkle refers to festive occasions.
📦 Need multiple skeins? Then I’ll make sure they come from the same dye lot. Not enough stock? Don’t worry – I’m happy to dye more to order.
