🐌 Garden Snail – earthy tranquility in a skein
Calm, earthy, yet full of subtle variations – Garden Snail is a color that doesn’t impose itself but surprises you each time you look closely. With shades of soft beige, warm brown, ochre, and occasional glimpses of lilac or mahogany, this skein is inspired by the brown garden snail: a sturdy garden snail with a beautiful striped shell in brown and golden tones.
This color was previously part of the summer yarn club The Kitchen Garden, and is now finally available separately. Perfect for projects that need a natural look without being boring. Think textured socks, a basic sweater with depth, or a crochet project that’s just a bit different.
🧶 Available on:
Sock (75% mulesing-free merino / 25% nylon – 400 meters per 100g)
DK (100% mulesing-free merino – 220 meters per 100g)
🐚 Did you know…?
The brown garden snail (Cornu aspersum) is one of the most common snails in Dutch gardens. They love lettuce, but their shells are surprisingly beautiful when viewed up close – with fine stripes, dots, and warm colors. You’ll find exactly this texture reflected in this yarn.
📦 Ordering multiple skeins? I’ll ensure they’re from a matching dye bath. Not enough in stock? I’m happy to dye more to order.
