💜 Purple Pop Pooling – Bright Pink and Purple Fun ✨
This skein is anything but shy: Purple Pop Pooling combines fuchsia, soft pink, and popping purple in an exciting pooling effect. Whether you knit socks, a scarf, or a sweater from it – you are guaranteed a playful color gradient that no one can miss. 🎉
The base is my trusted sock yarn: 75% superwash merino (19.5 micron, mulesing-free) and 25% nylon. That means wonderfully soft and sturdy at the same time, with enough stretch and durability to make the most beautiful socks, but also ideal for everything from baby sweaters to colorful accessories.
👉 Not enough stock? Don’t worry – I’ll happily dye extra skeins. If you order several at the same time, I’ll make sure they come from the same dye lot.
With this type of pooling yarn, you don’t get a solid color or a subtly marbled effect, but real color blocks and patterns that emerge during knitting or crocheting. What that looks like depends on the project:
🔹 Socks (knitted in the round with 64 stitches on approx. 2.25–2.5 mm):
The fuchsia and purple will alternate in playful stripes or spots. Depending on your gauge, it can form a kind of zigzag or even spiral pattern.
🔹 Scarves or shawls (wider project, 80–100+ stitches):
The colors “pool” in larger blocks: you will then see pink clouds alternating with deep purple pieces. This gives a lively, almost tie-dye-like effect.
🔹 Sweaters or larger projects:
There, the pooling effect can “break” a bit more, and you get a playful speckled result with clear color areas dancing through each other.
In short: with narrow projects you get tighter color patterns (stripes/spirals), and with wide projects more organic color blocks. 💜💗
