Details
This hand-dyed German organic Merino top is of 25 micron weight and 100 grams. It is, like all of my merino products, mulesing free.
This soft Merino wool is ideal for spinning, felting, or can be divided into smaller sections for use in weaving, knitting, or crochet projects.
When using this top for spinning or felting, it is recommended to pre-draft the fiber a little before starting. This fiber is particularly suitable for beginners or for use with a drop spindle, offering a laid-back and easy spinning experience. To use for knitting, crochet, or weaving, strip the top into sections and work with those.
This wool has been hand-dyed using an acid dye.
The micron measurement in wool refers to the thickness of the fibers - the finer the wool, the lower the micron count and the softer and more luxurious it feels. However, this also makes the fiber more "slippery," which can make it more challenging to felt or spin.
It is important to note that this wool should not be ironed or tumble dried, and should only be hand or gently washed.
