{"id":1126,"date":"2025-04-14T23:25:22","date_gmt":"2025-04-14T21:25:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/s7ors.nl\/?page_id=1126"},"modified":"2026-03-15T14:45:22","modified_gmt":"2026-03-15T13:45:22","slug":"about","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/s7ors.nl\/en\/about\/","title":{"rendered":"\ud83e\uddf6 About S7ors"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-995f960e wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\" style=\"flex-basis:66.66%\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">S7ors started from a simple need: to create.<br>To work with colour, to experiment, and to make something tangible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">What began as a creative outlet slowly grew into a place where I share my hand-dyed yarns and small accessories.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\ud83d\udc9b Behind the scenes<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Alongside S7ors, I work four days a week in forensic mental healthcare, supporting people in complex situations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">That work can be intense, and that\u2019s exactly why dyeing is so important to me.<br>It helps me slow down, clear my mind, and create something soft and colourful, something that others can use to make something of their own.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\ud83c\udfa8 About the dyeing<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I work in small batches and often follow an idea, a colour, or a theme.<br>Sometimes this turns into a full collection, sometimes just a single batch.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Because of this, many of my products are\u00a0<strong>limited edition, once they\u2019re gone, they\u2019re truly gone.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\ud83e\uddf6 What you can expect<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Products made with care and attention<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Hand-dyed yarns with their own character<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Small, unique batches<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Playful and themed collections<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\ud83d\udc9b For makers<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">S7ors is for makers who enjoy colour, softness and something just a little different.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For projects that bring joy, whether big or small.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Sustainable and Animal-Friendly \ud83d\udc11<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I exclusively work with <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Mulesing\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">mulesing<\/a>-free, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.oeko-tex.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Oeko-Tex<\/a> certified wool and use environmentally friendly <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Acid_dye\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">acid dyes<\/a>. This is not only better for the world but also for your project. And the colors? They remain beautiful, wash after wash.   <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Where Does the Name Come from? \ud83e\udd13<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8216;S7ors&#8217; is a nod to my son&#8217;s name, Sjors. The &#8216;7&#8217; instead of the &#8216;j&#8217; is a silly habit from my youth when, as an avid user of <a href=\"https:\/\/wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Amiga\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">the Amiga computer<\/a>, I participated in the trend of replacing letters with numbers \u2013 something that was very cool back then \ud83d\ude04. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">You Inspire Me \ud83d\udc9b<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">My biggest source of inspiration? That&#8217;s you. Your creative projects, sweet messages, and beautiful photos make this adventure special every day. A nice review or a tag on Instagram with your creation?
